NANO 2026, the 18th edition of the series, will focus on the latest advances in modeling, synthesis and characterization of (multi)functional nano-materials, nano-composites and multiscale systems with magnetic, electric and optical properties and their applications in different fields, including biomedicine, energy, life science and electronics.
The Conference will be held in Genova (Italy) from 7 to 11 September 2026. It is organized by the Nanostructured Magnetic Materials Lab (nM2-Lab) of CNR-ISM (Roma, Italy) and Un. Genova - DCCI (Genova, Italy).
The program will consist of plenary, invited talks, oral and poster contributions.

Since 1992 in Rhodes (Greece), the International Conference on Nanostructured Materials (NANO) has served as a premier forum for presenting cutting‑edge advances in nanostructured materials, from fundamentals to applications. Recent editions include NANO 2022, the 16th conference in the series held in Sevilla (Spain), which gathered the nanomaterials community under the auspices of the International Committee on Nanostructured Materials (ICNM), and featured specialized symposia such as “Nanobiosensors based on Nanomaterials.” The 17th edition, NANO 2024, organized in Abu Dhabi in collaboration with ICNM, continues this tradition by bringing the conference to the MENA region for the first time and further strengthening a global network of researchers working on nanostructured materials and their technological impact.
